Babes Ride Out Anza Borrego

Been a hecktic week at work. I broke the office printer, killed it at presentation materials, and knocked out a few quarterly fund reports. (Mind you, I'm not presenting this stuff, just making the material).

Last week I spent an awesome time with old friends and new in Borrego Springs.

A good friend swapped bikes with me for my trip to Babes Ride Out. Never been on a cruiser of such scale and I was nervous at first but got used to it (somewhat). My instinct would be say no, just to be polite and not use other people's things. I'm glad I took up the offer, I learned cruiser life is pretty chill. 90 in the desert feels a little different ๐Ÿ˜‰

I left home at 4 am and by the time I got to the 79 it was a chilly wonderful ride through countryside as the sun rose. I was so freaking COLD but 10/10 would totally do it again to see the sun rise. By the time I landed at camp, I met everyone and then ate a quick breakfast before we took off to the desert. We rode around the Salton Sea then ended up in Slab City, a government-free town with interesting and expressive sculpture art.

One of my favorite pieces is a Honda XR100. Visit East Jesus to read the full poem written on the gas tank, it's a good one.

I am so grateful that these moto gals warmed up to me right away! We had an awesome time riding through the desert all day. Thanks to Cass for keeping us all together during the ride. Thanks to Amanda for keeping me hydrated, and thanks to Dianne for the big energy ๐Ÿ’› and thanks to all for the great company and smiles!

On the way back we went through Julien and I made my parting with my gals and hit Oceanside up to the 5. That's a few new experiences I'll cherish forever
