I started a podcast!

Wednesday night was a time to start some sh*t. It was a time to send it. A time to just do the thing... whatever you want to call it. I released my first podcast episode of what I call Monki Moto Pod. I may change the name, but I want to focus on the content now.

I've been wanting to do a podcast for a little while. I hadn't really been interested in creating content as a job, let alone audio or video media. The thought first crossed my mind when I was chatting with a good friend about something not totally motorcycle related but pertaining to their personal life and how they got involved with amateur road racing later in life.

The urge to create a space where different people I met though motorcycling could share their stories that I found so interesting. I started in CA on the street and met some very good friends who I still ride with, just less now because our lives got busier. Their point of view is unique and different from the friends I have made through track riding and dirt biking. Everyone I have had the privilege to talk with and get to know has something unique about them. Their stories as to why they started riding, started racing, started wrenching on their own bikes, or why they built a custom bike, are built into their thesis of life and I am absolutely obsessed with how the motorcycle, though loosely defined, builds us up as individuals and as a community.

I'm excited to share perspectives from the motorcycle community from different types of riders and types of riding, especially women. I have a few things lined up that I want to share first. BUT I sent it without having all of the appropriate equipment to be able to interview/talk with multiple people and am getting my act together.

Please give my trailer episode a listen! I'm still trying to get a feel for how to speak, I'm not well spoken and I don't have a great radio voice, BUT I'M SO EXCITED TO START THIS!
